David Henricson Briggs
David is a patent attorney at Bergenstråhle & Partners.
David assists clients with all the aspects of the patenting process within a range of technical areas within life science. David is dedicated to identifying and capturing the real value in his clients’ inventions. His broad technical background and experience in working with companies of all sizes enable an overview of both technological and business aspects of innovations. He has worked with numerous life science start-ups and has a particular interest in helping them safely navigate complex IP issues.

David has been working as a patent attorney since 2014. He holds a Masters in Science from The University of Gothenburg and Bachelors in both Computer Science and Mechatronic Engineering. David worked from 2005-2010 with an Australian based microfluidic product development company; where he first came in contact with patents as an inventor of a point-of-care diagnostic device. After moving to Sweden in 2010 to study a Masters within both Business and Biomedicine at the University of Gothenburg, David worked to start a pharmaceutical development company and co-founded an IT company. Since joining private practice in 2014 David has worked with clients of all sizes and lectures to start-up companies on how they can effectively and efficiently work with patents.
