Helena is a European patent attorney and partner at Novitas Patent.
Helena has long experience with over 18 years as a patent examiner and patent attorney. She is highly experienced in patent prosecution, due diligence, freedom-to-operate, IP strategy and litigation, with expertise within the fields of organic chemistry and polymer technology. Helena also has experience from oral proceedings before the EPO and national court proceedings in Sweden, in both first and second instance.

Helena worked at Pharmacia as an analytical scientist from 1992 to 1998. She began her career in the field of patents in 1998 as a patent examiner at the Swedish Patent Office, primarily examining patent applications within polymer technology. From 2001 to 2010, she worked as an in-house patent attorney at the pharmaceutical company Biovitrum, where she mainly dealt with patent applications relating to organic chemistry. Helena entered the private practice as a patent attorney in 2010 and became a European Patent Attorney in 2013. Helena joined Novitas Patent as a partner and European Patent Attorney in 2014.
